Privacy policy

Civisource is run by Saga Dog Corp, a research-driven AI company in Miami, Florida. Civisource (civisource.app) and SAMSOS (samsos.civisource.app) share one account system, and this policy covers both. In short: we collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, your organization's name, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password itself.
• Organization data you enter: profile details, saved opportunities, pipeline items, drafts and submissions. Each organization sees only its own data.
• How you found us: if you arrive from a link with a referral or campaign tag (such as ?ref= or utm_source), we save that tag in your browser and with your account when you sign up, so we know which outreach works.
• Basic technical data: IP address and request logs, used for security and rate limiting.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the service to work. We also store the referral or campaign tag described above in a first-party cookie and your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and sign-ups. It is cookieless, does not track you across other websites, and reports aggregate numbers rather than identifying individual visitors.

Emails

We send email through Resend. We send password reset emails when you ask for them. If you turn on weekly alerts, we send a digest of matching grants or contracts, and every alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We do not send marketing email without your consent.

Where your data is stored

The site runs on Vercel, and account and organization data is stored in a Neon Postgres database. Payments, when enabled, are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

Public data sources

Grant and contract information comes from public U.S. government sources: USAspending.gov for awarded grants and SAM.gov for contract opportunities. We may reorganize or summarize that data, but you should confirm details with the original source before relying on them.

How we use your data

To run the service, match you with relevant opportunities, send the emails you ask for, keep accounts secure, and improve the product. If you use AI features, the text you submit is sent to our AI provider to generate a response and is not used by us to train models.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information or your organization's data. We share it only with the service providers listed above, as needed to run the service, or when required by law.

Your choices and data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the My account page, which removes your account and your organization's data. You can also email privacy@civisource.app to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. We respond within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, sessions expire, and sign-in attempts are rate limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

The service is for organizations and is not directed to children under 13.
